Do I, the applicant, have to submit my 2 recommenders’ letters with my application or can I have them send it to a HFSFCU branch separately?
Aloha Lei – the recommendation letters can be sent separately to HFS FCU if that is easier. Please just have the sender make sure to send it Attention: Scholarship Committee and to include your name in the letter so we know what application to match it with.
Stay tuned for the scholarship applications, which will be available early 2021! Mahalo
Does the transcript need to be an official transcript?
Aloha Devin, an official transcript is preferred, but not required. We do ask, however, that it is a current transcript. Mahalo!
Can the letter of recommendation be emailed?
Hi Shayla,
Yes absolutely, please email the recommendation letter to [email protected].
Are we required to have two Letters of Recommendation or are we able to have just one?
Aloha Jeanine,
We do require two letters of recommendation for the application. They can be academic or non-academic references. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
Having trouble uploading my Student Aid Report. Any tips or instructions on how to do it? How do you only get the first page? I have the full report…. I understand I only need the first page, how do I upload that? Thank you! 🙂
Aloha AriaMarie! There’s a couple different things you could try: 1. You could take a photo, or screenshot, of that first page showing your EFC and upload that. 2. You could print and scan in just the first page, and upload that file 3. Save the SAR as a PDF and extract the first page as a separate document. Hopefully one of these will work for you, but feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected] if you aren’t able to figure out an option that works. Mahalo!
When do the scholarship winners usually get announced?
Hi Ariamarie! Scholarship applicants will receive communication from us in April regarding the status of their application. Winners will be announced publicly in July. Mahalo!
