It’s National Volunteers Week!

I just love that quote! Finding the time to commit to volunteering is usually pretty difficult with already busy and overflowing schedules, after all, I’m sure most of us have a ton of things to do before, during and after work. BUT, we make the time when it’s something dear to our hearts. In celebration of National Volunteers Week, we wanted to share some snippets from our staff.

Why do you volunteer?

Anthony

“I volunteered as a JA advisor because I did it in High School and got a lot out of it. It’s a good opportunity for kids to grow in many ways and learning all aspects of business. These are all traits that are good to learn at a young age to succeed.”

Natashia

“It gives me a good feeling to know that I was able to help someone.”

Aysia

“It’s a great way to give back! Volunteering your time is more valuable than any monetary gift you could give. You never know how much of an impact your short time spent with them could have. It could stay with them for the rest of their lives!”

Taira

“I enjoy sharing what I know to help younger generations be better prepared for their future without having to learn the hard way.”

Fyi, it’s also Financial Literacy Month! Double kudos to all of our volunteers helping to teach financial education in our communities!
