Simple Eats: National Pie Day

I mean, who doesn’t like pie right? Especially when you have so many different kinds to choose from. In case you need an excuse to enjoy a slice, today is National Pie Day! If you feel like making your a pie, we’re here to share a recipe for a delicious Blueberry Cream Cheese Pie, sure to be a hit for all those who try it. Here’s what you’ll need:

Blueberry Cream Cheese Pie

Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 2 blocks of butter
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of flour

Filling:

  • 3 8oz. blocks of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 8 oz container of cool whip
  • 1 (2?) can blueberry pie filling

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the ingredients for your pie crust (butter, sugar, flour).
  2. Put the mixture into a 9 x 13 pan and pat down. Bake for 25 minutes.
  3. Cream together your cream cheese and sugar for the filling.
  4. Fold your cool whip into the cream cheese and sugar mixture.
  5. Pour filling over cooled crust and refrigerate.
  6. Once cooled, add blueberry pie filling over the top.
  7. Enjoy!
