French Apple Cobbler Recipe

    • 3 lbs. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 2 Tablespoons flour
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 Tablespoon butter

    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 egg, beaten

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Grease a 9 inch pie plate with butter
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the filling ingredients and toss to mix.
  4. Pour into the pie plate.
  5. In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients.
  6. The dough will be sticky so just place dollops around the apples.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden brown.
  8. Top with vanilla ice cream, and enjoy!
