“This year we are celebrating 70 years of ICU Day and we celebrate that our global movement historically goes back much further, enriching the lives of many over the years. ICU Day is the opportunity to engage credit union members, share their experiences and celebrate with the growing global credit union community,” said World Council President/CEO Brian Branch.

This year’s ICU Day theme combines the traditional gift of platinum for 70^th anniversaries, a play on the saying “every cloud has a silver lining” and a celebration of the platinum-lined differences and impact credit unions and other financial cooperatives have made and continue to make for their members and communities.

Why celebrate Credit Unions?

“When you join a credit union, it means you’re never truly alone,” said Michelle Kamke, marketing projects manager of blended learning at CUNA. “It’s more than just a silver lining. It’s the security of other people—real members like you, sticking with you through hard times. We wanted to give credit unions a chance to reflect on the ways in which we’re able to make genuine and meaningful change in peoples’ lives.”

HFS is celebrating all week long!

Although ICU Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of October, HFS will be celebrating for the entire week, and we want YOU to celebrate with us!
