Celebrate Youth Month with HFS!

Mahalo to everyone who participated in Youth Month! Although our incentive is no longer available, we encourage our keiki to continue learning through Banzai!

This year’s Youth Month theme is “Money Magic: Share, Spend and Save at your Credit Union.” We are encouraging our keiki to save and develop smart money habits. To help our keiki learn (and keep everyone safe and healthy) we’re celebrating Youth Month online!

Banzai! Online Financial Education Game

If you haven’t heard about our online financial literacy game, Banzai!, it’s a great time to start. Banzai is a great tool to start teaching our keiki about the basics of money and even business skills.

Keiki have two course options:

  • Banzai Junior (recommended for ages 8 – 12)
  • Banzai Teen (ages 13+)

During the month of April, complete the course and email the completion certificate to HFS to receive a $10 deposit into your keiki’s savings account!1 All completion certificates can be submitted to hfs_marketing@hfsfcu.org. Parents, please take care of the emailing for our young keiki. Mahalo!

As a friendly reminder, to qualify for the deposit, your keiki must have their own savings account with HFS FCU.

Start Playing Banzai!

Federally insured by NCUA. 1. Available from April 1 – 30, 2020. Limit one deposit per child, available for ages 17 and younger. Membership with the Credit Union is required and open to all who live, work, worship, attend school, volunteer or participate in associations headquartered on the island of Hawaii.

FAQs

Question: I’m unable to open the completion certificate, what do I do?

Answer: We understand that some people have been experiencing this issue. We have a request out to Banzai to assist us with this. However in the meantime, please log in to your account and click on Profile, then click My Progress. Simply take a screen shot of this screen showing your completions. It should look something like the image below. Send us an email with the screenshot and your child’s name.

I tried to register my children on line with Banzai and was having difficulties. Has anyone else had problems?

Our son completed the Banzai game and tests but when he clicks on “Click here” to get the $10 only a blank window appears. Please advise what to do next.

Aloha Nelson,

We’ve had a few people experience this problem. When logged in, you can send us a screenshot of the progress page. It’ll show the pretest score, the completed game, and posttest score. That’ll be sufficient. So sorry for the inconvenience but congrats to your son for completing the game! Hope he enjoyed it! =)
