To become a member of HFS Federal Credit Union you must first qualify under one of the following:

• Live on the Island of Hawaii
• Regularly work, attend school, worship, perform volunteer service, or participate in associations headquartered on the Island of Hawaii
• Participate in programs to alleviate poverty or distress which are located on the Island of Hawaii
• Incorporated and unincorporated organizations located on the Island of Hawaii, or maintaining a facility on the Island of Hawaii
• Immediate family members* of existing members or households; and organizations of such persons.

How to Join

If you qualify for membership, joining and becoming part of the HFS Federal Credit Union FAMILY, is easy. Just visit any of our Branches and our new accounts specialist will help you complete a membership application for either an individual account, a joint account, trust account or payable on death accounts.

To start a membership account, a $1.00 membership fee is required. You must have an active share account with a minimum deposit of $50.00 and it must remain in your account at all times to keep it open.
